Police drone is invasive ‘toxic toy’

Scott Herhold suggests that San Jose Police Department's new $7,000 drone should be returned or sold, before the police are tempted to use it to invade taxpayers' privacy.

The department's stated 'primary purpose' for the drone - disarming bombs - seems a bit of a stretch to me. Surely there are robotic tools better suited to that purpose.
