Sci-fi, move over; dramas honor real science

Cosmos: great show.

I'm glad the pendulum is swinging this way, although Fantasy and Science Fiction sections still share library shelf space (when did that start? I'm fairly sure these genres were still distinct in the 1980s).

People are right to reject the notion of 'pure science'.

Police drone is invasive ‘toxic toy’

Scott Herhold suggests that San Jose Police Department's new $7,000 drone should be returned or sold, before the police are tempted to use it to invade taxpayers' privacy.
